And, no less important: It protects the furnace from rain, snow, and ice. The slats and guide body are oriented so that the chimney opening always remains dry. The heart of this chimney cap is the guide body. It directs or controls the airflow above the chimney. The airflow is always uniform on the top and bottom of the convexly curved guide body. Even in gusty air conditions or in turbulence, the laminar flow remains, providing us with ideal air conditions above the chimney. This is the only way to achieve a balanced and metered draft.

The wind tunnel test results show resistance values that exceed all expectations from this chimney top. The guide body mounted between the upper slats takes over the entire control of the flow conditions in and over the chimney. The air is thus directed into a laminar flow. This permanently brings the ascending smoke under control.
